Registration and Fees

Who can register?
Organizations and individuals operating in the field of residencies that have a special interest in local initiatives, self-management, artist-run culture and the development of art networks worldwide are welcome to register. The Conference is open to all Res Artis members as well as non-members or organizations that are considering joining these networks.

The Conference is limited to 150 participants; we therefore suggest you register as soon as possible.

Registration fees
Registration fee for Res Artis Members: 150€ (early bird)
Registration fee for Res Artis Members: 190€ (regular)

Registration fee for Non-Res Artis Members: 210€ (early bird)
Registration fee for Non-Res Artis Members: 250€ (regular)

Early bird registration ends on January 31st!

Early bird payments must be made by 31 January 2018. Registrations without payment before this date will not receive the early bird rate!

Registration fee includes:
- Access to all meeting activities
- Coffee breaks and lunches according to the programme
- Conference dinners on the 1st day and the 3rd day
- Field trip on the 2nd day
- Discount on accommodation prices in the City hotel Rovaniemi, Cumulus Resort Pohjanhovi, Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus and Economy Hotel Rudolf.

Registration fee does not include:
- Travel costs
- Dinner on the 2nd day
- Accommodation
- Insurance and visa expenses

Accommodation in Rovaniemi

Find your place to stay in Rovaniemi from the alternatives below by selecting types of accommodation that suit you best. Most of them are in the city centre. The hotels are within walking distance from each other and all main services, enabling large groups to stay in different hotels but still close to each other.

Conference attendees can obtain a discount on hotel bookings in the following hotels: City Hotel Rovaniemi, Cumulus Resort Pohjanhovi, Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus and Economy Hotel Rudolf. The discount is included to the prices and valid until 15th of April 2018. Please use the reservation code when making a reservation. When bookings are made credit card information should be given as a guarantee. Whatever your choice of accommodation, you will be met with Lappish hospitality and charm.

Visa Information

You will not need a visa if you are a citizen of a Nordic country or EU Member State. Similarly, no visa is required if you are a citizen of a visa-free country and you have a valid passport or comparable travel document.

Even if you did not need a visa to visit Finland, you need a valid passport or some other travel document accepted by Finland. It must be valid for at least ninety days after your intended date of departure from the Schengen area.

In addition, the passport or other travel document must have been issued no later than ten years ago. In case you do not need a visa, you can stay in Finland or in the territory of other Schengen state for ninety days in any 180-day period.

Upon arrival in Finland, you must meet the general entry requirements according to which a person must not constitute a danger to public order and security, national health, or Finland’s international relations.

You may apply for a visa outside Finland from a Finnish embassy operating under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. Finnish embassy also make decisions on the granting of visas.
