Olson Kundig (United States)
Olson Kundig is a 150 person design firm based in Seattle WA with a long standing relationship with the Arts. We have projects all over the world, working within many typologies. The program is an invitation to collaborate and impact the collective practices of the firm and the selected resident by developing ideas together that would not have been reached independently. Conceived by Olson Kundig’s Think Tank team, the program will provide a grant of $10,000 USD to the chosen resident.
Prainha Residência Artística (Brazil)
Welcome to the beachfront program. Prainha artists residency is located right in front of the best beach of the southern coast of São Paulo state. The spot is particulary attractive to surfers. The area is quite well populated as the city is around 480 years old, so Itanhaém is not a deserted or isolated beach. Residencies normaly lasts one month. The main purpose is to provide a comfortable place for artists to spend some time, socialize, learn new cultures, exchange and relax in an artistic atmosphere. The artists will have a private bedroom and share a big house with other artists, guests, a housekeeper and the residency curator.
Arvon / Writers Retreat at the Clockhouse (United Kingdom)
At the heart of Arvon is the desire to encourage anyone, regardless of their background, to find their voice through writing. About a third of its activities are with groups from schools, youth and community groups and arts organisations, many from the most disadvantaged communities in the UK. Arvon offers a ‘home for the imagination’, where anyone, regardless of writing experience, can step away from their normal routine, immerse themselves in the creative process, be inspired by experienced writers and release their imaginative potential.
Artists Work for Change (United Kingdom)
We are as yet, a new self supporting, not for profit, independent creative hub offering interdisciplinary self funded group artist residencies. NEW Interdisciplinary group artist residencies in an area of outstanding natural beauty near the sea in Dorset, S.W.England. Our focus is on creating works that will be making a difference -sustainability,ecology,biodiversity + climate change. We are just starting up so as yet these are self funded residencies of 1 week-1 month in length and ongoing.
ARTLAND VOF (Netherlands)
Non profit international art center Artland is situated in a quiet location with beautiful scenery at the Strijthagen Castle in the south of the Netherlands. Artland can be reached in one hour from Cologne, Brussels, Antwerp; Amsterdam two hours or three hours to Paris. Artland has a museum, an exhibition hall, a sculpture park, studios, living rooms, dining room.
Totaldobze/ Free Flow residency (Latvia)
Totaldobze Art Centre is founded by artists in 2008, in former factory VEF, Riga, Latvia. Totaldobze Art Centre is made to serve as an open platform for interdisciplinary contemporary art activities. Since 2008 till today hundreds of various size and structure events has been organized in various venues of the Totaldobze Art Centre, abandoned buildings and other institutions in different spots of Latvia and outside. The Free Flow residency is designed for the next generations creating a better future, to give a fresh inspiration about the human body, the palpable entity of human being.
Rio Grande Artist Retreat (United States)
Our Artist Retreat is situated in the High Desert between Albuquerque and Las Cruces along the Rio Grande. We will spend the entire month of February having an artistic "Conversation with the Landscape". EBLAR (Elephant Butte Lake Artist Retreat) has been designed to allow participants to share a common experience with a small group of fellow artists, that encourages the exchange of ideas, while allowing the major focus to be private time for individual work and introspection.
