Arctic Art Residency

Arctic Art Institute is an artist-run project platform, which unites Northern artists, musicians and cultural workers for creating innovative projects and expertise exchange. The Institute was established in 2014 by graduates from the European universities, who have their origin in the North. During the residency, the artists work with their projects connected to the Northern Russia and Arctic, as well as meet and collaborate with artists, musicians and representatives of libraries, museums, galleries and other cultural institutions.

Tasarim Bakkali / Tab Residence

Tasarim Bakkali is an open art space located in the center of Yeldegirmeni mahallesi, Kadiköy. The neighborhood which is in the Anatolian side of Istanbul, is home to a lot of artists studios for many years and is transforming to be the new cultural and social center. Being conscious of this transformation, Tasarim Bakkali has been a pioneer in the arts and culture side of this change. While exhibiting the works of Turkish art scenes prominent artists, the opportunity was given to the talented young artists to use the same “open space”.

Hellerau Festival Theatre, built in 1911 as a school of Rhythmics, is today the location of HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts, Dresden. HELLERAU has since become one of the most important interdisciplinary centres for contemporary arts in Germany. It is home to contemporary dance, musical theatre, contemporary classical music, theatre, performance art, the visual arts and new media, as well as a place for reflection on art and culture.

Untitled Space is an independent art space run by artists. As the title ‘Untitled’ suggests, we strive to provide creative space and exchange platform for contemporary artists without any restriction and boundary. Untitled Space is dedicated to showcasing contemporary art exhibitions, installs programs that support academic research and providing workshops for the public. In addition, United Space encourages collaboration with the local artists in the context of Chinese contemporary society; where multicultural expression sparks fresh perspectives and ideas.

The Ou Residency is set up to welcome visual artists, printers, writers, poets, performers - makers who need time away to focus on a series, or who would like to teach workshops & gain experience. We would encourage artists to host events & present an exhibition of their work. The Ou used to be an old boatbuilding workshop and you can feel the history in the old fir floors and layers of resin. We aim to be \'more than just wall space\' and our monthly exhibitions are curated to reflect a contemporary & emerging art space unique to the Cowichan Valley.

Open Wabi Artist Residency

Open Wabi, located in an early-1900s furniture factory in rural Ohio, offers emerging and established artists the time, space, and environment to encourage growth and experimentation in their practice. Open Wabi is located on 20 acres in an historic furniture factory. The environment is a mix of industrial and natural — nestled in a quaint central Ohio town. Artists have large, private studios (16ft x 30ft) and can also utilize wooded areas, pasture, and architectural remnants.

Negarestan Art Centre is the name given to the location which is converted to a brilliant opportunity for all resident artists (young, international, or talented artists) whose works are rarely exhibited wishing to display their works ,we have prepared art works exhibition chance in this gallery. Negarestan Art Centre (Yaqoot Residency) holds ten rounds of residency programs every year. Artists will work in studios and workshop spaces in Negarestan Art Centre, located in Qazvin, Iran.

Valóság Cooperative is a finnish-based non-profit organization founded in 2015. Besides Casa do Careca artist-in-residence program Valóság Cooperative governs also another residence located in Budapest, Hungary. The residence has been operating since 2011 and enjoys a somewhat cult status amongst finnish artists. Our goal has been since 2015 to promote cultural exchange, political awareness and artistry. We believe that the arts take on political as well social dimensions, becoming themselves a focus of controversy and even a force of political as well as social change.

TATVA is an international and experiential emotional wellness project; promoting and celebrating conscious self exploration, emotional vulnerability and authenticity. It combines psychotherapy and self development with creative expression, experiential travel, social justice, eco/nature therapy and cultural immersion. They are committed to creating spaces where this can take place in a professional and safe environment, facilitated by experienced international mental health professionals.
