Terra UNA Ecovillage in Brazil open call to a kids friendly collective residence ** All Disciplines.

Description of residency program
Terra UNA is an NGO that since 2003 works to promote and support transdisciplinary actions that aim at ecological sustainability, social redesign and the integral development of the human being.

The Terra UNA ecovillage is located next to nature, in a 48 hectare land in the Environmental Protection Area of Serra da Mantiqueira, in Liberdade, MG, constituting as a housing, education, work and leisure space that seeks to improve quality life of its members, visitors and surrounding communities.

Disciplines, work equipment and assistance
We maintain an artist residency program since 2007 and has received more than 100 artists in residence processes in this innovative program aimed at the integration of contemporary art, ecology and sustainability. We believe that art can be deeply linked to the creative transformation of the world in social and environmental challenges we face.

Collective seasons Group residence.

With some theme in common the artists intensify the collective exchanges. At the end of the period there is an open event.

Residence for artists with integrated and parallel activities with children.

We offer:
_ Room (private or shared)
_Egg-lacto-vegetarian food (3 meals a day)
_Work space atelier or multipurpose space
_Wireless internet (charged separately)
_Access to the common areas of the ecovillage and forest reserve RPPN Terra UNA _Artistic accompaniment
_ Accepted projects receive invitation letter.

FEE $1500 USD (4 weeks)
*Travel to Terra UNA, personal materials and health insurance are not included.

Expectations towards the artist
Artists are invited to develop their projects.
There are creative process follow-up meetings with invited artists and curators.
During the month each artist presents past work for the group.
Optionally, the artist can propose an activity for the children of the community.
At the end of the weekend, there is an open studio where artists can show the work done in the residence.
