ONDARTE International Artist Residency in Akumal, Mexico is accepting submissions for 2013

ONDARTE – International Artist Residency was born from the desire to support international artists and promote cultural exchange between creators from all walks of life.

Located in the Mayan Riviera, ONDARTE'S grounds of over 2,000 square metres (22,000 square feet) are divided between the living quarters, the exterior working areas, the temperature controlled storage rooms, the comunal kitchen/dining area and the common/relax zones (swimming pool and gardens). Artists are welcome to work freely throughout the grounds in order to create wherever they feel more at ease.

Once a month ONDARTE organizes an open house in which they invite local artists and the surrounding community in order to further promote the cultural exchange between the artists and their adopted home.

Technical information: Furnished living spaces - 8 large living suites with private bathroom, and 2 huge, duplex suites with private bathrooms and private working space - Each suite has its own fridge and work desk giving artists the possibility to work in their rooms - Cleaning twice a week. Comunal kitchen and dining area Laundry service once a week Wireless Internet throughout the rooms and grounds Swimming Pool (To be used at own risk) Bicycles for each artist

Studio information: Exterior, common studio area (under a typical Mexican thatched roof) and each room has adapted work desks for our artists to work.
