2015 Res Artis Awards at Mediterranea 17 Young Artists Biennale, Milan, Italy

Res Artis was invited to run the Res Artis Awards during the 17th edition of the Young Artist Biennale organised by BJCEM – Biennale des jeues créateurs de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée. The edition called “No food’s Land – Milano after EXPO” held from October 22nd – November 22nd, 2015 in Milan, brings together more than 300 artists from the Mediterranean countries. Two of our members, KulttuuriKauppila Art Centre in Finland and Villa Ruffieux in Switzerland awarded a fully funded artist residency as part of the Biennale to one of the participating artists.

Senni Kela, Executive Director of the KulttuuriKauppila Art Centre, handed out the award for a one-month residency at the KulttuuriKauppila Art Centre AiR program in Ii, Finland in September 2016 to Ivana Radovanovich from Montenegro. Radovanovich participates in the biennial with her work "The Hollow Men".

Benoit Antille, Residency Coordinator of Villa Ruffieux, awarded Riccardo Giacconi from Italy with a two-month residency at Villa Ruffieux Résidence d’artistes in Sierre, Switzerland.

We congratulate the winning artists and thank our members as well as our hosts at Bjcem for this wonderful edition of the Res Artis Awards!
