Residency Experiences

This section presents pieces written by former artists in residents having participated in a residency at one of our members and sharing their experiences with other artists and the Res Artis community.

The residency experiences are not meant as a rating system, nor an evaluation of the residency organisation, but should reflect on the general concept of the artist residency; e.g. planning and working progress, how the residency and its environment affected an artist’s work, challenges and difficulties that were encountered or in which way the residency helped, guided or surprised the artist in resident etc.

The section is meant to give artists an overview of what a residency experience can entail or what things to consider when planning a residency, taking into account one’s own expectations and needs.
