NEA is an independent federal agency that funds and promotes artistic excellence, creativity and innovation for the benefit of individuals and communities. NEA funds four projects (Art Works, Challenge America, Our Town and Research: Art Works) for organizations.

An US non-profit organization wich provides access to funding, insurance, education and resources to independent artists and small organizations. The organization offers fiscal sponsorship, professional development, discounts and access to a wide network of professionals.

The Joyce Foundation, Chicago, USA

The Foundation supports the development of policies that both improve the quality of life for people in the Great Lake region (specifically the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin). Their program areas are Education, Employment, Environment, Culture, Democracy and Gun Violence Prevention. Culture grants are mainly focused in the City of Chicago, except for the Joyce Awards, which extend to other Midwest cities.

This non-profit foundation offers residency grants to organizations for visual artists and writers residency programmes.
