Brief description of organisation
Founded in 1969, the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica is the premier university program in Venice for Printmaking and Book Arts, as well as the most established and equipped studio for professional and practicing artists.
The Scuola has 8 etching presses, 1 lithographic press, 1 vertical woodcut press,1 Vandercook letterpress, aquatint box, and, in a separate serigraphy studio, exposure unit and 2 serigraphy tables.
In addition, 2 drawing/painting studios accommodate up to 8 artists, and our Graphic Design computer room has 20 iMacs to be used by resident artists in digital imaging, as well as film editing.

Brief description of residency program
Throghout the year, the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica offers Residency Programs for professional and established artist, as well as for scholars.
Residents have 7 days a week access to our fully equipped and extensive facilities in the central area of Cannaregio, and housing accommodation in private bedrooms in furnished central apartments shared with other resident artists.

Ways of getting from/to the airport
The Apartments are in Campo San Maurizio 2670. The closest Vaporetto (water- bus) stop is Santa Maria del Giglio. There are three different ways to get to the apartments:
1) 1) Expensive and comfortable (120 € minimum)
Get a water-taxi to drop you at Calle del Doge on the Grand Canal. Walk (100 meters) to Campo San Maurizio. Turn right. Your apartment is in the Campo, N.° 2670.
2) Reasonable (A water-bus, Alilaguna Arancio (16 €) leaves from the airport every 30 minutes. It goes to Santa Maria del Giglio (1 hour).
3)You can also get the ACTV orange bus # 5 to Piazzale Roma and then a vaporetto leaving every 10 minutes from Piazzale Roma (line 1, direction San Marco - Lido). The fare for both bus and vaporetto is 14€. Get off at Santa Maria del Giglio.
Getting to the Scuola/Studio
Go to Piazzale Roma as above, then catch the Vaporetto (line 1). Get off at San Marcuola (stop N.° 3). The Scuola is just there, with the address of Calle Seconda del Cristo, 1798.
