General information

Brief description of organisation

We believe the art-creation process is something sacred and thus we assist our artist guests as much as possible in order for them to concentrate solely on their production. Artists are encouraged to work intensively and independently in a supportive intimate environment.

Considering the wishes/needs of individual guest artists we organise different art-social events (OPEN STUDIO, ARTIST TALK, ART DINNER, SCREENINGS, WORKSHOPS) in order to promote the cultural exchange between the artists and their adopted home.

Brief description of residency program

D’CLINIC is an artist-run space designed to deliver a supportive community where artists can focus on their own creative practice and/or research. Share skills and knowledge. Interact or collaborate in a vibrant multidisciplinary environment free from constraint, harshness or formality.

We created different residency frameworks (or as we call them research-platforms) for artists to choose from – depending on what they wish to achieve while spending time in this extravagant (east) European region.
The so called MiXER and TRACOR programme.

While MiXER is designed as a cros-disciplinary collaboration "playground" : The selected artists from diverse artistic disciplines are paired up to work collaboratively on a new body of work. The residency ends with a public presentation of the completed project alongside a published artist book to demonstrate different points of their research and production.

TRACTOR is for all those creative minds who either wish to change their environment for a couple of weeks and find inspiration in a new surrounding or simple need undisturbed time and/or a space to develop or finish up a body of work.

The residency has both indoor and outdoor spaces for creativity. The offered working space is flexible, and generally adapted to each artist’s individual requirements and needs.

D’CLINIC supports both established and emerging arts practitioners; regardless of whether visual artist, musician, curator, theorist, writer,…
