Brief description of residency program

SERDE residencies program aims at exchange and common work between artists and professionals from the creative and cultural world; promote experiences exchanges and skills sharing; encourage art and culture professionals to discover the Latvian country side as place where to create and inspire; create the new works in unusual circumstances.

SERDE offer accommodation and working facilities in one of oldest and ´wonderful´ historical buildings of town. We have a “green thinking” approach to our residency centre development: For residents we offer to stay in a comfortable ecological house, where the house is preserved using environmently-friendly materials and historical building technologies. The residency rooms and workshops are located in 2 separate buildings.
Resident stays in their own bedroom, and shares the studios, kitchen, and bathroom. Bedrooms are supplied with beds, mattresses, bed linen, blankets, and towels.
