Imágenes y Palabras / El Hacedor

General information

Brief description of organisation

Imágenes y Palabras (Images & Words) is an independent cultural association that organizes cultural and artistic activities throughout the province of Burgos since 2000.
The activities it has organized over the past 15 years, have varied greatly, but are always brought together in their invitation to ´create´, both in terms of ideas as well as in artworks. In this way, the activities have become a true stimulus for artists and a call for an active participation from the public. The activities range from contemporary art exhibitions, film viewings, workshops for children, scarecrowcompetitions, seminars, theatreplays, book readings – in other words, all that in one way or another relate to Culture and Society.
“El Hacedor” – the workshop and the gallery – opened its doors to the public in 2009 and ever since activities are more concentrated in the village itself. Recently, our lodgment, "El Descanso del Hacedor", has been converted in an oficial hostel, which allows Imágenes y Palabras to invite artists to come and work in "El Hacedor", which is and has always been one of the main objectives to construct the huge workshop at La Aldea del Portillo de Busto.
