The Craft Village is one stop destination, where creativity, innovation and knowledge would work for sustainable development.The craft village will work for
upliftment of craftsmen and offer creative program for students interested to learn Indian Crafts from the craftsmen itself. Internationally, most of the luxury hubs have very close association with Crafts of the country, be it Milan, Paris or London, craftsmanship is considered a rare attribute today internationally and objects of desire.

Craft village offers trans-disciplinary approach to improve the quality of life of crafts persons by providing formal contemporary design and product development through design-technology-skill development programs/ workshops on regular basis. As a part of craft study programs almost each student in US, Europe, UK and other countries travel to different parts of the world to learn exotic crafts and culture, such students, artist, designer and professionals can visit the lifestyle village every year to learn and contribute to these exotic crafts of India.

Brief description of residency program

Craft Village has been established in Delhi, NCR amidst nature & greenery, the campus has Art Residency for Artists and Designers.

Due to lush green locality it is distinctly away from the air/noise pollution of the city, the place offers a perfect environment for students and professionals. Crafts village offers residential facilities for artists, crafts person and designers from across the world. The Village has community living, where artist, designer, students, craftsmen can work, eat and live together in harmony of nature with concept of sharing knowledge & skills. It creates common platform for exchange of innovative ideas & thoughts without any constraints of time and space. The campus is spread over an acre (nearly 50000 Sq. Ft.) of land and is amongst the one of the largest craft centres in Delhi, NCR with state-of-art facilities. The Campus has in house Residential facility for Artisan, Students and Artists from across the world, who are willing to work in an inspirational environment. Accommodation: One can experience crafts even while residing in a private cottage termed after famous crafts such as Madhubni, Kantha, Rogan, Ikat etc. on twin sharing basis, (all rooms with private bathroom, air condition, and geyser, fully-furnished. As craft village believes in sustainability and world free from animal cruelty, only vegetarian meals are served to all participants during specific breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Craft Labs are created in a way that it acts as an ideal space for artists & designers. Equipment include Potter’s Wheel, Blocks Making, Screen Printing Weaving Loom, Printing Table and Dyeing Set-Up for Natural Dyes Pattern Making Table, Sewing Machine, Sculpture, Material & Tools, Art Studio with Canvas, Papers, Easel, Drawing Boards , Tools for Metal & Wood work etc. Wi-Fi, Computer and Basic, Printing amenities are also available. Design Studios for Artists/Designers and Craftsmen to facilitate product development of their interest as nature is the biggest inspiration for any art or craft lover, be it fashion, textiles, graphics, painting, pottery, sculpture, furniture, photography or any stream of design, craft village offers ideal environment to foster creativity from thinking to doing it. Craft Village also provides Studio facility to artists and designers, where they can explore ideas and can develop their final designs and prototypes and can make a client presentation.
