Stiwdio Maelor

General information

Brief description of organisation

Stiwdio Maelor was established in 2014 by Australian artist Veronica Calarco to provide a place for artist of all disciplines to escape from the daily grind and come to an inspirational place to meet other artists and to create work. Maelor aims to be non-profit and only charges enough to cover the cost of running the project. Artists can donate work (but this is not compulsory) and if the work is sold half goes towards Maelor and the other half goes towards the artist returning to Maelor. Maelor´s future aims are to hold exhibitions of artists who have completed residences in venues around the UK. Maelor also holds an annual competition. The prize is a residency with vouchers to local businesses.
