Brief description of organisation

The QUEENS COLLECTIVE is a community art space and a group of artists working in Marrakech, Morocco.
We offer a multidisciplinary platform for emerging and established artists to explore, exchange and create work.
We bridge international and local artists by offering a series of different residencies in Morocco and abroad.
We foster artistic growth and collaboration in a creative and supportive space.
We believe in the transformative power of the arts.
We share a common interest in cultural activism, feminism, community engagement and artistic exploration.

Queens Collective stands for gender equality, female empowerment and marginalized communities.
We believe in the common as a way of being together that fosters care, lightness, empowerment, life and beauty.
It entails the integration of freedom and responsibilities.
Queens Collective is founded and run by artists of different backgrounds, promoting social transformation
through artistic, cultural, and educational programs.

The core of Queens Collective is communal development through four principles embodied in our work:
cultural and social awareness, shared responsibility, creativity and local networks development.
