Do a Front

General information

Brief description of residency program

The premise includes a 70 years old concrete block building, two 100 years old wooden houses, a steel-frame warehouse with a ceiling height of 5 meters and a wooden warehouse with a ceiling height of 5 meters. The lumber warehouse with a ceiling height over 5 meters would be open to artists as a studio. The premise is accessible from two streets, therefore suitable as an open public space. The traditional Japanese wooden houses will be used for accommodation. After the completion of the artists project, the artists will present their piece. Our staff will support the artists to the best of our ability [ie. research, workshop, etc]. Do a Front has held three exhibitions and several town events since the organization was established in 2012.
