Brief description of residency program

Eramboo is a contemporary creative place on the edge of a World Heritage National Park, where artists flourish and nurture connections between art, nature and the community.

Eramboo Artist in Residence program provides artists with an inspirational bushland setting for developing a body of work or a site responsive project or to simply to grow creatively. Artists can immerse themselves in a peaceful natural environment where they can truly focus on their work.

A live in residency is ideal for regional, inter-state or international artists working in all media, writers, musicians, dance or performance artists. The live in residency space is available for one week or three months.

The simple but comfortable residency studio is on the edge of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, close to Pittwater waterways, scenic Northern Beaches of Sydney and 50 minutes to the Sydney CBD. Eramboo is close to the Terrey Hills shopping village and cafes (1.9km). Access to a car is highly recommended, public transport is via Terrey Hills (1.9km away) ideal for city visits where parking is very difficult, 5 minute drive to Church Point, 15 minute drive to Northern Beaches coastline.

Eramboo Artist Environment provides 6 other non-residential studios and is a hub of creativity offering events, master classes, exhibitions and artist talks to the community.

The residency studio provides simple accommodation for artists and artist couples looking to expand their practice and career through a residency including:

kitchenette (and access to kitchen main building)
bathroom a few metres away (handicap accessible toilets and shower)
comfortable queen sofa bed/lounge
clothes cupboard
use of grounds
on site parking
eco friendly environment
gallery and teaching rooms for hire, workshops and classes
