Healing Dreams Art and Wilderness Retreat

General information

Brief description of organisation

Healing Dreams Retreat has been serving clients in the high season and artists in the remaining months since 2008. We are considered one of the most beautiful properties on Flinders Island. Formerly, we were listed as Mountain Seas Arts, and have sold the larger Retreat, leaving the Yurt, Studio and Art Centre.

Our desire is to support artists, and to keep an artistic culture alive on Flinders Island, which is populated by many creative people, who live in a remote area and appreciate hearing from artists abroad.

The facility is simple, but serves certain artistic mediums really well; particularly suited for ceramics and painting.

Brief description of residency program

We have a spectacular residence in Australia on a small island called Flinders Island, Tasmania. We offer a fully equipped Arts Centre, for painting and ceramics. Our accommodations include 2 free-standing cottages equipped with queen beds and ensuite. We are remote, wild and wonderful! Artists have been coming here for many years and enjoying the inspiration and solitude of this location. Ocean views, nestled in Mount Strzelecki, and surrounded by wildlife--it is a creative haven. Note that it is isolated! There is support staff on the property (70 acres); wifi is available, but not directly in the cottages. Best for artists comfortable in and craving solitude!
