Study biology, wild life and beyond in the field, forest, farm and lab.

This week long research residency for artists interested in biology will lead field trips into the forest, farm and laboratory. You will meet and learn from a wide range of scientists and experts during this action packed program. Twice daily expeditions and workshops will introduce you to: beekeeping, moth photography, birds, wild mushrooms, glow in the dark mushroom cultivation, foraging wild plants, forest diversity, human tissue culture, frogs and salamanders, bacterial landscaping and microscopy.

The residency house has indoor and outdoor studio space and although the program is full of field trips and workshops each day will afford a small amount of free time to work on your own projects.
We will provide bedding, meals and all gear needed. Just bring you essential art making kit (cameras, notebooks, specimen jars etc.)
