Description of residency program
A Ceramic residency in the beautiful cultural city of Baroda, india

Baroda or Vadodara is the curltural capital of the state of Gujarat with over 1000 artists living and pracising their art. 

A very inportant art institution, various community studios and art galleries futher add to the atmosphere that is thriving with art and artists.'

Duration of residency
The residency can be applied for a period of minimum 1 month and maximum 6 months 

Disciplines, work equipment and assistance
This is a ceramic residency and we provide terracotta and stoneware clays; we have an 8 cubic feet gas fired kiln which fires upto 1240 degrees C, a 1000 sq ft studio, of which 500 sqft is an air conditioned enclosed space. The remaining is a beautiful semi open space, with a gazebo outside where one can work  . Any specific material can be arranged at extra cost. The studio is large enpugh for 3 artsists to work comfortably .

Studio/ workspace
The ceramic studio is fully equipped with all infrastructure needed for working in clay and is set amidst a beautiful natural surrounding, although right in the middle of the city.

Fees and support
The residency fees are 700 USD per month.

The fees inckude studio charges, accomodation, an assisstant, 2 firings per month, 50 kgs of clay, basic glazes and an open studio at the end of the residency 

Expectations towards the artist
 the artist is not expected to produce anyrhing specific ; but make optimum use of the space and time at the residency. We will be happy to arrange for a presenation and help the artist meet local artists and students. Being artists ourselves, we know that the each artists needs will be different and we shall try our best to offer a conducive atmosphere for the same

Application information
The application should be sent to and enclose 10 images of his/ her recent work, a resume and a short artist statement about what they would like to achieve out of the residency.
