Artist Residency - New Mexico

Self-directed artist residency in the high desert of New Mexico.

Description of residency program
Each year Annex:art offers its self-directed Artist Residency - New Mexico. This short-term, self-directed residency program is being offered in cooperation with Gallery 66, located in the historic Acoma Curio Shop. The program is open to creative individuals working in any genre, including visual art, music and literature. 

Residencies for this program are available for a minimum of 2 weeks, with a maximum of 8 weeks.

Duration of residency
The Residency is offer for a period of 2 weeks to 2 months.  Details about our other self-directed residencies are available at our website.

The artist will be provided with a private living accomodation with shared kitchen and bath facilities.  Each artist will also be provided with a seperate studio workspace in which to complete his/her proposed project.

The studio space may be open to the public as a work in progress throughout the residency. 

Disciplines, work equipment and assistance
The facilities are basic and offer the artist with ample room to spread out and work on his/her submitted project.  This is a self-directed residency, therefore, the artist will be responsible for providing any material, equipment or specialty items needed to complete their work. 

The program is open to creative individuals working in any genre, including visual art, music and literature.

Fees and support
There is a $45 non-refundable submission fee for proposals to be considered for the White Cube Residency.  The organizer will assist the artist with obtaining logistical information where needed.  See our website for applicable residency fees. 

Expectations towards the artist
Completion of the work as described in the artist's submitted proposal
