Drawing Workshop at KKM

A one week intensive drawing workshop in a scenic location in costal Northern Denmark where participants will have a concentrated opportunity to develop skills with the award-winning illustrator Aljoscha Blau and Professor of Fine Arts, Artem Alexeev.

Our goal is to combine intuitive and rational approaches to observational drawing. While searching for individual expression amongst the enchanting woodland and heath surroundings of the Kirsten Kjaer’s Museum, we will bring to attention technical aspects of life drawing: composition, perspective, construction: using the example of the human body and the material world around it. Moving towards more experimental approaches, we will emphasize the state of ultimate intimacy an observational drawing is capable of reaching. The program will include daily lectures and assignments, and detailed feedback will be given over each module.
