Open to all discipline artists, through an on-line form in our website. The MAM gives the accepted projects an official invitation letter to support the financial and cultural formalities of the artists.

We offer an isolated place in the middle of the green with a great view. Simple architecture. Not noisy, in the city\\´s edge between rural and urban. Like you were renting a cabin in the woods. You\\´ll have to handle almost everything by yourselves.

Location is in Castro, capital city of the island located right in a middle of it and close to many different attractions that conform the island\\´s heritage; exceptional landscape places in the archipelago, cultural heritage ( traditional old wooden houses and world heritage churches, boat construction sites, etc) Traditional festivals and a vibrant community very proud of belonging to the place.

Residency can be taken anytime in the year. If willing to participate in cultural traditional events that happens around the islands, sightseeing and enjoy beaches, best is from December to March. If wanting absolute isolation, rain and deep winter sensation, from May to September is best.

Artist would come to our residence because; It\\´s in the Patagonia and it is the southern place they will find to do so in the world; It is not a hostel kind but expecting them to be adults and not be restricted by other\\´ presence. It is a place where you have to control yourself. The surroundings and the whole island\\´s traditions and special mythology is very inspiring.

We are a group of passionate for contemporary arts people, who have committed to create this place (and have kept it working for 25 years without any economical reward at all). Our aim is that of the artist being in the right place, at the right time but not necessarily having all what he/she is used to have. The staying here will definitely become a challenge. Maybe the painter will end up writing, or writer singing, who knows?
