International Artist Residency in Paris

Live, Work, Meet, Explore, Present, Exhibit - tailored to specific needs of artists visiting Paris.

The self-directed residency is designed to support the specific needs of artists and curators who wish to carry out an independent research project, focus on studio work, or come for an exhibition or engagement opportunity in Paris.
As opposed to our guided group sessions, the dates for independent self-directed residencies are flexible. The duration may vary in length from one to four weeks and can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
We will do our best to tailor the residency based on the specific needs and interests of each artist. Starting with preparation before the arrival, we can reach out to the individuals and organizations relevant to the artist's project and mobilize research, logistics, and other resources that artist might need during the time in residency.

Live, Work, Meet, Explore, Present or Exhibit
All residents are encouraged to make use of the multifunctional facilities of the centre for work, meetings, presentations, short-term exhibitions and informal gatherings.
Artists can use either provided shared studio space or engage in non-studio-based artistic and curatorial projects. Should you require a specific art production facility during your time in residency, we will help you secure an affordable space that suits your needs.
Although guided Cultural Program will not be organized for this independent residency, participants will still have an opportunity to connect with other visiting artists and local professionals. In addition to providing shared studio space where artists can exchange their skills, we will facilitate other activities to foster intercultural and artistic exchange.
To maximize your exposure while in Paris, we will also organize weekly open studio events and other visits. In addition, artists are invited to submit an independent proposal to be part of the monthly Cultural programming at the FIAP Centre.
