The Structure of Resartis


Res Artis is an international NGO/NPO, non-governmental and non-profit organisation based on the membership of residential art centers and programmes. Res Artis legally a foundation registered in the Netherlands that operates on:

  • Board
  • Working Groups.

 

Board

 

Under its by-laws Res Artis is governed by a Board and is composed of:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Members at Large.

 

Members of the Board are elected by the membership at the biennial General Meeting for a 2-year term that may be renewed for up to three (3) consecutive terms (total of 6 years).

 

Working Groups

 

A number of Working Groups have been established to support the operations of the organization. These number from 2 to 6 and currently include:

  • Governance
  • Finances
  • Communication
  • Membership

 

The Chair of each Working Group is a member of the Board.

 

Members of the Working Groups are drawn from the general membership of Res Artis and can include members of the Board.

 

Membership of the working groups is by self-nomination according to each member's areas of interest.
